The Liberia-Ghana Missions (L-GM) is a Christian non-profit and non-governmental humanitarian organization with a mission that is focused on human resource development and capacity building in Africa. The organization was founded in 2004 by Rev. Emmanuel J. Giddings, Sr., a United Methodist clergy and a native of Liberia. L-GM is registered, incorporated and recognized as an NGO under the laws of the United States of America and the Republic of Ghana. We work primarily with, and among disadvantaged, marginalized, and deprived communities in Africa. L-GM targets children, youth and women in difficult circumstances. Our primary objective is to help restore the dignity of marginalized people as children of God, and to enhance their capacity to care for themselves, attain a state of self-sufficiency, self-reliance and self-determination. We do this through a variety of programs that involve educational assistance, economic development initiatives, community medical services, and sexual reproductive health education.
